Are you looking for a way to make your new mirror to look aged? Well you have come to the right place. I have a trail of review about oversized decorative mirrorsand my experience has helped thousands of website visitors. If you want to be one those people then I suggest you take a few minutes to read through this brief but useful article.

You can use a number of ways to convert the glass area of the frame to an aged mirror. If you are not using mirrors that are unframed you can even convert the frame to a tray if you wanted to. {You Can do this even withThis can even be done with} some makeup mirror with lights

Some of the options you can use include gelatin or silver. You can also consider using an aluminum leaf. Generally speaking you can spend about $90 for a 300 square feet chemical kit but you can just use the latter on glass at a smaller fee than most| however, you can also just use the aluminum leaf because it is cheaper.

Most people have complained about the effectiveness of using this method especially due to the fact that it is not easy to remove the grey paint on the back of most new mirrors.

Antique Mirror Patina  is another option you can consider for this project, which is an alkaline solution that is water based and simulates the tarnish and old look of an antique mirror in a new one. You can do it on your own at $80 or so i.e. about $2 per square feet.

These are a sample of options to consider when trying to convert your oversized decorative mirrors or any type to make it look aged. I am confident that what I have shared above is enough to get you going.
