A group has started where we plan on getting together to work on each other’s houses. This way we can share tools, knowledge, and simply learn while working on various remodeling projects. My house is up next for a few repairs (probably door replacing and putting up a bit of molding). How Much Did You Spend On Your Remodeling?

I want to remodel my kitchen, and replace all the tile, paint, bathroom counters and doors in my house. I want to put in a cement patio and put it stone tiled bathtub/showers.
I don’t want to add on to the house, or tear down any walls, I just want to give the house a face lift since it was made in the 80′s and looks VERY 80′s.
I want to spend about $40,000 to $50,000

What Happens If You Get Caught Remodeling Your House Without First Obtaining A Permit?

For some reason I cannot please the city that I live in as far as getting a permit pulled. I’ve been in there several times with things that they have told me I need to bring to apply for the permit. I’m at the point where I am just going to remodel my house without getting the permit because I don’t want to wast anymore of my time with them. I am wanting to know what is the worst thing that could happen to me if I go ahead with the job without the permit.

Can You Remodel Your Bathroom With A Blue Bathtub?

In other words, if you want to remodel a bathroom that has a blue bathtub, is there any way you can keep the blue bathtub, and make it work with a modern bathroom?
